Matthew Darling is a globally patented inventor, multi award winning software engineer and computer hardware inventor.
He is an Honorary Associate Professor at the College of Systems and Society at the Australian National University; awarded for significant contributions to the field of Software Engineering globally.
Matt has worked as a senior adviser in Government, providing expertise in strategic policy and IT procurements, cyber-security and Defence.
He has been published on the topic of Australian sovereign industrial capabilities and ran a symposium on the subject for senior ranking military officers in 2025.
An invention of Matt’s won the InnovationAus 2023 Pinnacle Award for Excellence in Software Innovation.
